The clouds parted, the full moon’s light shining down on the yard. Two young hares, rump to rump like duelling pistols, crouched by the gate.

Looking over at the other the white eared one twitched its nose, then leapt up and bumped the latch. The pair hopped into the garden heading towards the herbs.

Far-flung Fantasy

Five fortnights following, fleets from far Fornax fly.
Fragmented forces foray.

F: A-Z Challenge I thought I would try something a bit different and challenge myself to write a bit of flash fiction using only F words. It was much harder than I expected. I was partially inspired by both H.G.Wells and recent events here at home.

Discothèque Discourse

Few weeks back for the Speakeasy challenge I wrote a short piece Discothèque. Cosplay Cavalcade

Back in mid-March the family and I got the chance to head down to my home town of Kansas City to attend Planet Comicon. We had a blast meeting the stars (more on that in a later post), listening to panels and just seeing everything we could see.

As you would expect there were tons of folks wondering around in costume. Everything was represented from sci-fi to fantasy, kids shows to stuff for those a bit older.

The quality ran from decent, to WOW that is amazing. Here are just a few of the costumes we saw.
