In case you haven’t heard, here in the United States we have the first new works entering the public domain in 20 years. Many works from 1923 which had extended protections will now be available in ways and for use they weren’t before.
There are a number of places out there where you can find some of them, one is the Internet Archive. They have posted a blog article about some of their offerings from the newly released works. You can check it out here.
I’m currently thinking of highlighting specific works on a regular basis during the year. There are many important cultural artifacts that will now be much more accessible.
