Thor: Ragnarok – Quick Thoughts

Sally and I went to see Thor: Ragnarok today, it was excellent! Another great installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Without spoiling things I will say that it nicely takes some of the loose threads in the MCU and pulls them together back into the tapestry of the larger story. Leaving several things in good position for where they will need to be in future installments.

If you haven’t had a chance to catch it in the theaters, do so. We saw it in 3D, it was well done for that medium but I don’t think that it would suffer at all in standard.

I will plan on writing up a more complete review at some point in the near future.

NaNoWriMo ’17 – Day 9

Good morning, I had a fairly successful 8th day of the month yesterday. I was able to end my day on target with the goal for the 10th (16,712 total to date).

Sally and I are planning on seeing Thor: Ragnarok today and I think I should be able to get some reasonable words in later today also.

Keep Writing!

NaNoWriMo ’17 – Day 6

Good evening. Sorry for the late update, it has just been that kind of day.

I finished day 5 with another 2,784 words after a very enjoyable write-in at Inspired Grounds, putting me at 14,790!

Today I haven’t gotten much writing done yet, going to try to knock out a few hundred so it’s not a zero day. Since I’m well ahead of goal, one bad day isn’t going throw things off too badly.

NaNoWriMo ’17 – Day 5

So it is Sunday and we now have the first few days of this year’s NaNo under our belts.

I hope that everyone is having luck with their writing effort, I know I am so far.

To update, I got another 2,710 yesterday with some writing in the morning and a coffee shop run with Charla after dinner.

Today we are heading to the write-in at Inspired Grounds in Valley Junction, so we should have a chance to get some good numbers in.

Talk to you tomorrow!

NaNoWriMo ’17 – Day 4

Yesterday’s “Write All Night” was a blast, it was a lot of fun spending an entire evening writing with a group of inspired creators. I had added about 300 words in the morning bringing myself in line with par for day 3.  So when Charla and I got set up at the library every word I typed was bonus.

I ended the day with 4,666 new words in my story, which has pushed my total count to 9,296!

I am feeling really good about how things are going this year, the words are just flowing and so far life hasn’t gotten in the way.

I hope all of the rest of you WriMos out there are having luck as well, and if not keep going you can do it!
