Good morning all,
Today is Free Comic Book Day!
It is a great way to introduce your little growing geeks to the wonders that can be found in the pages of comics and from there graphic novels. Or just pick up something for yourself.
You can find a near by participating store here.
Happy Cinco de Mayo to those who celebrate.
Today I was listening to the most recent few songs off the feed from The FuMP. When I hit the most recent song posted by the great Luke Ski, I soared like a leaf on the wind to a geeky happy place with Serenity
Head on over to The FuMP or Luke’s site to listen and see what this very talented comedy musician has to say.
Today I listened to a wonderful interview with Pip Ballantine and Tee Morris on The Dragon Page: Cover to Cover.
In addition to discussing their collaborative novel, Phoenix Rising and it’s associated podcast and anthology (some great authors have contributed and more are yet to come!) They discussed Pips new series Books of the Order, which starts with Geist
Definitely worth listening to.
My legs feel like lead.
Why you may ask…
This morning I had to take the bus to work. Having just missed the 7am bus I decided to start walking towards the office a bus stop at a time.
About 35 minutes later the next bus caught up with me with about six blocks to go.
After I got there I checked with Google Maps. 2.26 miles. I now have an even better idea just what Nathan Lowell was feeling on Day Two of Talking on My Morning Walk.
Nate I feel for you. Man do I feel your pain.
I’m fairly certain that I will be really regretting this in the morning.
Today is one of those days where your simple basic meals are just right.
Sal and I settled on good old BLTs for lunch. (For some reason put me in the mood for The Princess Bride.) Very well received by DramaQueen and ZenOne. LittleDiva was not so impressed.
Dinner we are going with another classic, Baked Potatoes. Diverging a little from our usual recipe and going with one from Food Network and Alton Brown’s “Good Eats”
Now just need to put together the toppings.
Phoenix Rising: A Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences Novel is being released today.
Thus far after reading the first few chapters over at the publisher’s website, as well as listening to the companion tales in the podcast feed, I simply can’t wait to enjoy the remainder of this wonderful work by Tee Morris and Pip Ballantine.
I can’t more strongly recommend going out and getting a copy. It’s available in kindle and paperback versions at this time.
Haven’t even finished the first book and I’m wondering what Ministry tales we will see in the future.
Well, I have just finished reading the preview of Phoenix Rising over at the publisher’s website.
I am very pleased to say that it met all my expectations, in fact, I enjoyed the first few chapters of the novel even more than I anticipated.
I eagerly await the release of the book on Tuesday.
For more info, as always, visit the Ministry at their site.
