Found an interesting post on Podiobooks.com it seems that Scott Sigler’s novel “Contagious” (the sequel to “Infected”) made the New York Times Best Sellers list. While I have yet to read or listen to either title I have enjoyed several of Sigler’s other works, especially “Ancestor”.
This major success in traditional media is very cool. You can find the full article over at the Podiobooks blog.
On Friday the Podcast feed for the Funny Music Project (www.thefump.com) posted a highly amusing parody of “A Drop of Nelson’s Blood” by an artist I was not really familiar with, Marc Gunn (www.marcgunn.com).
The song was “A Drop of Vulcan Blood“. This lead me to his website and a large amount of great Celtic traditional and parody music.
Marc has a number of filk songs as well as feline themed parodies of traditional songs. Such as “What Shall We Do With a Catnipped Kitty?”.
So pop on over and give him a listen, while he has many songs available free his works are definitely worth a bit of cash thrown his way.
