Fall Leaves

Well it’s the now the second weekend in October and Autumn has definitely arrived here in central Iowa. Cool days and down right Cold nights, with frost on the ground in the morning. Signs are showing that winter is on its way.

The leaves are turning and yesterday we took the kids out to rake the yard (and jump in the piles). We are still hoping to fit a family trip to one of the local pumpkin farms before the season ends. We also plan on going to the Night Eyes “trick or treating” event at our local zoo.

What Fall traditions do you all have?

  1. *sigh* I guess there’s the Trunk-Or-Treat with the Responding to Autism center, and the trick-or-treat with the downtown local businesses, but it’s a little different this year. I’ve been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, so any candy for me has to be nixed or kept to a small, small, small minimum.
