No that is one bit of Einstein trivia I did not know.
Doesn’t really surprise me.
He wasn’t a hard core vegetarian, but here’s one of his quotes on the subject:
“Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances of survival for life on earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet.”
I can see the logic in that quote… saying that I don’t think I can ‘evolve’ that direction myself. 😉

I understand, sort of. Its not about going without, but respect and moderation. I think there’s a movement out there promoting going veggie once a week. I wonder if it has gotten any traction.
