We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.
- Albert Einstein, Scientist, born March 14th 1879
Finally! A quote from one of my heroes (yes, I know, he was flawed, like them all). And one of my favorite. I think this is the one that is still in my signature over on CartoTalk. It is scary how often we do repeat the same thought processes before realizing that, hmmmm, that didn’t work last time…
Did you know he was an advocate for vegetarianism?
No that is one bit of Einstein trivia I did not know.
Doesn’t really surprise me.
He wasn’t a hard core vegetarian, but here’s one of his quotes on the subject:
“Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances of survival for life on earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet.”
I can see the logic in that quote… saying that I don’t think I can ‘evolve’ that direction myself.
I understand, sort of. Its not about going without, but respect and moderation. I think there’s a movement out there promoting going veggie once a week. I wonder if it has gotten any traction.
